The cool-climate whites and reds of the ''nature state' are being highlighted in Tourism Australia's new food and wine campaign, Ultimate Winery Experiences of Australia.
This initiative is aimed at profiling the land down under as one of the world's leading wine tourism destinations, showcasing a number of iconic wineries and vineyards across the country.
Tourism Australia managing director Andrew McEvoy said that research shows a 30 per cent increase in people's motivation to travel to Australia when they understand the quality of the country's food and wine.
"It’s an area where we can stand out – and perhaps a missing ingredient in igniting people’s passion for our country," Mr McEvoy said.
The Ultimate Winery Experiences of Australia profiles top wine destinations such as the McLaren and Barossa Valleys in South Australia, Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Hunter Valley in New South Wales, and the Tamar Valley in Tasmania.
Tasmania's Josef Chromy Wines in the Tamar Valley, and Moorilla Estate at Berriedale are showcased in Tourism Australia's campaign, with each bringing a different experience of Tasmanian wine.
Moorilla is "the newest winery built on Tasmania's oldest vineyard", creating cool-climate wines crafted from grapes grown in the Tamar and Derwent Valleys.
The Berriedale winery offers varieties such as pinot noir, chardonnay, riesling, sauvignon blanc, syrah and cabernet merlot, with tasting tours also on offer!
The Moorilla Winery Tour and Tasting operates from Wednesday to Monday at 15:30, which includes a guided tour of the vineyards and the 'gravity-assisted winery', as well as a tasting in the barrel room or at cellar door.
Josef Chromy Wines in Relbia, Tasmania was also singled out for its fantastic range of wines which includes pinot gris, chardonnay, pinot noir, riesling and sauvignon blanc.
The Josef Chromy Cellar Door, Vineyard and Winery is only a fifteen minute drive south of Launceston, with visitors able to join in on the Sunday winery tours or stop for a bite to eat at the estate's decadent restaurant!
