The magnificent Freycinet Experience Walk is a four-day guided walk that takes you on a wondrous journey across the entire length of the Freycinet Peninsula on Tasmania's east coast.

Walk the pristine sands of the iconic Wineglass Bay, hike the pink granite mountains and encounter towering forests as you visit top spots such as Coles Bay, Schouten Island, Bluestone Bay and Saltwater Lagoon.

During your Freycinet experience you'll also get to stay at the secluded, 'invisible' Friendly Beaches Lodge, set on a 400 acre property surrounded by Freycinet National Park.

The eco-lodge is "tucked into a pristine coastal forest of native pines, banksia and wattle" and is described as a place for visitors to unwind and watch visiting wildlife.

After a long day of discovering Freycinet's natural treasures, you can retreat back to Friendly Beaches Lodge to indulge in a hot bath or shower, tuck into a hearty meal, browse the library and rest from an action-packed day in a comfy bed.

Friendly Beaches Lodge is the winner of awards from the Royal Australian Institute of Architecture for its sustainable design, with the sun and rain providing energy and water.

The lodge's kitchen produces minimal waste with a comprehensive recycling program and composting toilets to help make sure that the lodge keeps its pristine beauty.

There is a shared dining and living area, with two sleeping lodges known as North and South, branching from the main lodge.

Both North and South have a collection of double and twin rooms, incorporating a relaxed lounge area with a wood-burning stove, bathroom with a claw foot bath, separate shower room and two composting toilets.

Individual travellers can also have their own private room at no extra cost.

Enjoy fresh local foods such as beef, oysters and regional wines, with a menu that is fresh, healthy and delicious.

The lodge is also happy to cater for special dietary requirements – so include any requests on the booking form.

Book your next Tasmanian experience with Freycinet's Friendly Beaches Lodge.
