If there's one place you gotta go to this October, it's the Royal Hobart Show!

This year's event takes place from October 24 to 28 where you will experience the country life with fun activities, displays and entertainment for the whole family.

Each of the four days follow a particular theme, with Farm Wednesday gathering alpacas, goats, horses, pigs, sheep and rabbits among other animals, so bring along your little ones to give them a taste of the farm life!

Thursday is show day with more visitors coming to check out the animal exhibits, rides and food pavilions for the public holiday, with the Grand Parade also in show.

Festival Friday is the next event with night entertainment on hand from 15:00 through to 21:00, with family fireworks kicking off at 20:30.

The last day of the festival is family fun day where everyone can enjoy their favourite activities and entertainment including the new Showtime FMX motorcross riders and the Animal Wrangler shows.

You can make it a special day for the kids by taking them out on a special discovery tour of farm animals, where you can take them to visit the baby animals at the nursery, watch the sheepdog trials (Wednesday only) and visit the life on the farm pavilion to learn about how to shear sheep, make butter and milk cows.

Children under five are admitted free to the festival, with adults able to purchase pre-show discount tickets for $15.53 and children aged five to 15  $9.68.

Family passes are also available for two adults and two children, or one adult and three children for $40.88. Otherwise you can purchase tickets at the gate with a family pass $48.00, adult pass $18 and children aged five to 15 $11.
