If you're making your way to Tasmania this summer, make sure to visit Australia's oldest brewery, the Cascade Brewery in Hobart.

The historic brewery boasts a variety of world-class beers including Cascade Premium Lager, Cascade First Harvest and Cascade Pale Ale.

In your visit to Hobart you can taste the Cascade Bitter, Cascade Draught and Cascade Lager only available in Tasmania!

The brewery has an interesting history indeed, with English-born Peter Degraves drawing up his designs for the Cascade Brewery in his cell at the Old Hobart Gaol.

World renowned travel guide, Lonely Planet, put the Cascade Brewery tour and visitor centre in its Bluelist, topping the Best Brews section in 2008.

The brewery has two different tours to embark on, the heritage tour and brewery tour, as well as a fantastic food and beer experience.

The heritage tour will have visitors strolling around the surrounding areas of the brewery that include the three acre heritage 'Woodstock' gardens and the Cascade museum.

The tour will share stories about its eventful past and creator, with a beautiful backdrop to capture your memories.

The tour includes tastings and is suitable for families with adults $15, children under 18 $12 and a family ticket for two adults and two children $42.

The brewery tour has been called a 'must-do Hobart experience' where you will get an inside look at the brewing process of Cascade's finest beers.

You'll also get the opportunity to try these brews for yourself, fresh from the taps!

Brewery tour visitors must be over 18, with adults $22, students and seniors $17.

Try a selection of Cascade beers and gourmet foods at the visitor centre restaurant in the Cascade 'Ale & Hearty' beer and food matching experience.

You'll also get a special gift to take home, a beer with your face printed on the label, with the experience $55 per person, with a minimum of six in a group.
