Tea aficionados have more reason to make the trip down south to Tasmania, with Australian tea retailer T2 to release a special Hobart Breakfast Tea as an ode to the island's capital city.
T2 is dotted all over the country and is known for its dedication to everything tea, with fresh brews such as cocoa loco, pumping pomegranate, southern sunrise and even T2 kids available.
Hobart Breakfast will be the new flavour on the menu, with The Mercury reporting (May 15) that the black Ceylon tea mix featuring juicy apple pieces, will be launched at the Hobart T2 store on Friday May 17 from 07:30 to 09:00.
The tea's promotional material says that Australia's "new art capital" inspired T2's latest breakfast brew.
"Home to markets overflowing with fresh produce and a very impressive art museum filled to the brim with old and new art, we felt it was high time that we made a cuppa that's all things Hobart."
The tea launch is an invitation-only event for T2 Tea Society members, with tea brewing demonstrations and ideas for food to match.
Make sure to try some of T2's other teas including gorgeous geisha, a green tea with flavours of strawberry and cream, and gone surfing, a relaxing brew of chamomile, lavender, spearmint, passionflower, rose petals, linden and lemon balm.
