If you're looking for a place to take the kids to this summer, why not treat them with a visit to Tasmania Zoo?
Located in Launceston, the zoo contains the island's biggest collection of animals, where you can come face to face with the famous Tasmanian devils themselves!
You also can watch the Tassie devils tuck into their meals, with the zoo holding feeding times three times a day (10:30, 13:00 and 15:30) seven days a week.
Encounter a wide range of animals including wallabies, wombats, kangaroos, alpacas, miniature ponies, penguins, swift parrots and macaws.
The zoo also has a number of activities to entertain the kids, with picnic facilities and barbecues also available so you can settle down with the family for lunch.
Teens can also get in on the fun at the zoo as well, with those aged 17 and over having the opportunity to become a keeper for a day.
This allows people to spend a day "behind the scenes of Tasmania Zoo", preparing food to the daily diet requirements, feeding the animals and looking after their natural habitat.
Tasmania Zoo is open seven days a week from 09:00 to 17:00, with adults (aged 16 and over) $25, children (aged two to 15) $12.50 and children under two free of charge.
