Rockwiz adds extra night in Tasmania to national tour

If you like rock and have an interest in French-speaking TV presenters, you have probably seen Rockwiz.

The SBS ratings first aired in 2004 and has a long standing reputation as one of the country's best music quiz shows, regularly attracting a string of world-class musicians including John Paul Young, Tex Perkins and Joe Camilleri.

However it is host Julia Zemiro that has guests in stitches as she adds a touch of comic flair to the program.

Zemiro's regular witty asides to co-host and scorer Brian Nankervis – who is also known as the human scoreboard – help to keep things light and entertaining, while the musical talent on show in the Rockwiz Orchestra adds a touch of class.

And now Tasmanians will have the chance to see RocKwiz live for two nights of music history, live performances and comic banter on October 5 and 6.

The decision to add an extra show to the upcoming ‘RocKwiz Some Kind Of Genius’ tour was announced earlier this week (June 19), because of "overwhelming" demand.

According to SBS, the show will feature host Zemiro, ringmaster Brian Nankervis, Dugland the roadie and the RockWiz Orchestra, but the guest list is still under wraps.
