Tranquilles Bed and Breakfast in Port Sorell, north west Tasmania, are now offering cooking classes with a range of experienced chefs!
Improve your culinary skills and learn how to prepare a variety of meals with meats, seafoods and fresh produce from Tasmania.
Cooking classes begin on October 28, where budding chefs will learn Indian culinary art with Ajay.
Chef Ajay Kumar works at Aaj India – which won the Best Indian Restaurant Award 2012 Tasmania – and counts stuffed mushroom, lamb shank, mango shrikhand and cheese and mint chicken tikka among his signature dishes.
In Ajay's class you will learn how to prepare and serve a range of dishes, that you can take home to share with your family.
The next cooking class will take place on November 11, where you can learn how to cook traditional Yum Cha with head chef at the Red Ruby Chinese Restaurant, Anthony Kwong.
Whip up delicious Chinese dishes including Cha Sui bun, prawn, pork and chive dumpling, and Siu Mai (Chinese-style pork dim sim).
There are more cooking classes to come in the next few months including a paddock to plate course and two healthy eating workshops with nutritionist, wholefood chef and TV presenter Janella Purcell.
